ENGLISH TRANSLATION FOLLOWS IN THE SECOND PART LOGBOEK (release 2.44 - 24/07/00) --------------------------------- Luc Dupas (TORPEDO) LOGBOEK is als stand-alone programma een tekstverwerker annex data-analyser van persoonlijke duikgegevens (eerste release 1988). De 2.44 release laat nu ook toe datums na 311299 te gebruiken (vb. 010100 voor 1 januari 2000, etc.). De duikgegevens zelf bevinden zich in een ASCII inputbestand dat je in principe met gelijk welke tekstverwerker kan aanmaken en wijzigen (wel nadien save'n als gewoon ASCII bestand !). LOGBOEK is beschikbaar in versies voor VAX/VMS, diverse UNIX-platforms, PC (MS-DOS, vanaf XT 8088) en MAC (vanaf MAC Plus), en vereist geen speciale residente software of specifieke grafische kaarten, etc. (opm. onder MS-DOS moet je wel in je CONFIG.SYS voorzien dat er voldoende files tegelijkertijd kunnen geopend worden, v.b. FILES=20). De voornaamste features (resultaten) van LOGBOEK: - een vlotte formattering van de outputfile(s), - overzicht van het totaal aantal duiken, - aantal duiken in de oosterschelde, in de grevelingen, in de noordzee, in de middellandse zee en de atlantische oceaan, in opprebais, - aantal duiken op -30, -40 en -50m (met overzicht in aparte files), - de totale en gemiddelde duiktijd, - de gemiddelde en maximale duikdiepte, - semi-grafische (histogram) weergave van duikdiepte-verdeling, - semi-grafische (histogram) weergave van duiktijd-verdeling, - semi-grafische (histogram) weergave van duiktijd*duikdiepte-verdeling, - frequentie grafiek van het aantal duiken gegroepeerd per 2 maanden, inclusief het verloop van het geaccumuleerd aantal duiken, - een overzichtstabel van de duikplaatsen met het # duiken op die plaats, - je kan desgevallend selecteren op duikplaats, mededuiker, etc. en de zoeksequentie kan al dan niet case-sensitive (hoofd/kleine letters) doorlopen worden, - je kan voor iedere blz. in je logboek een bijgewerkte samenvatting krijgen met het totaal aantal duiken, totale duiktijd, etc. etc., - je kan desgewenst ook output krijgen met engelstalig commentaar, nuttig voor v.b. vakantie's in het buitenland. Inputfile: - aan te maken als ASCII file met gelijk welke tekstverwerker of editor, deze ASCII inputfile is ook perfect uitwisselbaar tussen de verschillende versies/operating systemen van LOGBOEK, - iedere record moet volgende velden bevatten: volgnummer van de duik (kan desgevallend automatisch genummerd worden), datum (format DDMMYY), duikplaats (max. 13 karakters), duikdiepte in meter, duiktijd in minuten, duikbuddy's en ev. commentaar, - je kan v.b. bij het commentaar volgende regio-annotatie's bijvoegen: (GR) staat voor Grevelingen, (O) = Oosterschelde, (N) = Noordzee, (A) = Atlantische Oceaan, (S) = Stille Oceaan, (M) = Middellandse Zee, (R) = Rode Zee, en (I) = Indische Oceaan. Op die manier krijg je dan achteraf ook een overzicht van het aantal duiken per regio. - de input kan opgesteld zijn in fixed-format (alle info op een bepaalde plaats in iedere lijn), of in free-format (velden gescheiden door ;), - je kan in de re-format mode ook andere delimiters dan ; opgeven, - lijnen die beginnen met C of | zijn commentaarlijnen en worden letterlijk overgenomen in de outputfile(s). - lijnen die beginnen met * duiden het einde van een blz in je logboek aan en resulteren in telkens een korte samenvattende tabel met o.a. totaal aantal duiken, totale duiktijd, gemiddelde duiktijd, etc. etc. Outputfiles: De outputfiles zijn gewone ASCII files die je kan inkijken met gelijk welke tekstverwerker en/of uitprinten. - LOGBOEK.RES = geformatteerde kopie van al je duikgegevens - LOGBOEK.D30 = overzicht van duiken op -30m (10% marge) of dieper - LOGBOEK.D40 = overzicht van duiken op -40m (10% marge) of dieper - LOGBOEK.D50 = overzicht van duiken op -50m (10% marge) of dieper - LOGBOEK.FRQ = frequentietabel van # duiken versus tijd - LOGBOEK.SUM = korte samenvattingsfile - LOGBOEK.LAN = lange samenvattingsfile - LOGBOEK.LOC = overzichtstabel van duikplaatsen en # duiken op die plaats Waar/hoe kan je LOGBOEK gebruiken en/of een kopie krijgen ? - VAX/VMS (imec): $ run disk$asppdm:[dupas.torpedo.logboek]logboek (voorbeelden van inputfiles staan op dezelfde directory) - UNIX (imec): ~dupas/bin/{HOSTTYPE}bin/logboek - PC/MAC : bezorg me een 5.25" DS/DD (PC) of 3.5" DD (MAC/PC) floppy. Opmerking: LOGBOEK wordt volledig gratis ter beschikking gesteld. Het gebruik is vrij voor persoonlijk/clubgebruik, maar mag evenwel niet commercieel gebruikt of verkocht worden. The 2.44 release now also allows for dates beyond 311299 (e.g. 010100 for January 1st, 2000, etc.). The divelog data itself are contained within an ASCII inputfile which can be edited by using basically any texteditor which can handle ASCII files. LOGBOEK is available on different platforms: VAX/VMS, a variety of UNIX platforms, PC (MS-DOS, starting from a simple XT 8088) and MAC (minimum configuration MAC Plus). It doesn't require any special (resident) software, graphical hardware or software, etc. (remark. in MS-DOS you have to foresee that a resonable number of files, e.g. 20, can be open at the same time). Most important features (and outputresults) of LOGBOEK: - a very straightforward and simple format of the inputfile, - a nice formatting (textprocessing) of the outputfile(s), - an overview (summary) of the total number of dives, total and overage divetimes, max. and average divedepth, etc., - an overview of the total number of dives in a number of locations (e.g. Nordsea, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean, etc.) - seperate listings of the dives deeper than -30, -40 and -50 meters, - semi-graphical (histogram) representation of divedepth distribution, - semi-graphical (histogram) representation of divetime distribution, - semi-graphical (histogram) representation of divedepth*time distribution, - semi-graphical frequency table of number of dives versus time (per 2 months), including the graph of the accumulated number of dives, - an overview of all divesites including the number of dives per site, - you can select/scan/search on divesite, buddy, special things you saw under water, etc. (case-sensitive or insensitive search can be requested), - (summary) output can be requested in Dutch or English. Inputfile: - a simple ASCII file which can be edited used any texteditor which can handle ASCII files. This inputfile is perfectly compatible between the different versions/platforms. - each record in the inputfile (free-format, fields delimited by a ; sign) contains the following fields: number of the dive, date (format DDMMYY), divesite (max. 13 characters), max. divedepth in meter, divetime in minutes, divebuddy names, any other comment, - special regional annotations can be added: (GR) indicates the GREVELINGEN and (O) = OOSTERSCHELDE (both in the Netherlands), (N) = NORDSEA, (A) = ATLANTIC OCEAN, (M) = MEDITERRANEAN, (R) = RED SEA, (P) or (S) = PACIFIC OCEAN, and (I) = INDIAN OCEAN. In the dive overview table the number of dives in each of these locations is summarized, - extra comments can be annotated in following lines starting with a C or |, - a * line indicates that you want to get an intermediate summary. Outputfiles: The outputfiles again are plain vanilla ASCII files which can be browsed/edited/printed. - LOGBOEK.RES = formatted copy of (selected) divelog data - LOGBOEK.D30 = selection of dives of -30 meter (10% margin) or deeper - LOGBOEK.D40 = selection of dives of -40 meter (10% margin) or deeper - LOGBOEK.D50 = selection of dives of -50 meter (10% margin) or deeper - LOGBOEK.FRQ = frequency table of number of dives versus time - LOGBOEK.SUM = short summary file - LOGBOEK.LAN = long summary file - LOGBOEK.LOC = overview of all divesites and number of dives per site How to get a free copy of LOGBOEK ?
